Flight Ticket @999: Before Diwali, people of Madhya Pradesh have got good news. State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that flight tickets from Rewa to Bhopal will be available for just 999 rupees for a month.
PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated Rewa Airport of MP a day earlier. CM Yadav called the inauguration of the terminal building of Rewa Airport a Diwali gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that this will promote the development of Vindhya region.
At a function in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 6,000 crore. During the event, he digitally inaugurated the terminal buildings of Maa Mahamaya Airport at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and Darima in Chhattisgarh and Sarsawa in UP, which cost over Rs 220 crore.
A big gift to MP before Diwali
Addressing a function in Rewa, Chief Minister Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has given a big Diwali gift to the people of Vindhya region even before the festival.
The trip will be available for just 999 rupees
Yadav said that the state government will provide air travel facility to Vindhya residents from this airport (to Bhopal) for Rs 999 for one month. He also flagged off the Rewa-Bhopal flight. He said that the inauguration of the airport will open the doors of development and bring change in the Vindhya region comprising seven districts including Rewa.
Rapid growth in aviation sector
He said that this region has natural wealth and every necessary resource is available for its development. He said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, even the poor are getting the facility of air travel. The Chief Minister said that due to lack of attention by the previous governments, the development of Rewa lagged behind.
He said that in 1993 there was no railway facility in Rewa and now there is an airport here. Yadav said that an expressway will also be built from Rewa to Bhopal.
