This is how you can update your Aadhaar card:-
Step 1
- If your Aadhaar card is 10 years old, then you need to get it updated.
- For this, first you have to visit the official website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in/en
- Here you will see many options, out of which you have to click on the option ‘Update Aadhaar’
Step 2
- After this, you have to enter your Aadhaar number here which is 12 digits long.
- Then an OTP will come on your registered mobile number which you have to enter here and login
- Then you have to click on the option to update the document
Step 3
- Now if you look down, you have to upload the scanned copy of your identity card and address proof by going to the drop-down list.
- Then you have to click on the submit button after which your form will be submitted
Step 4
- Now when the form is submitted you get a service request number
- You have to keep this number safe so that you can check your status and know whether your Aadhaar card has been updated or not
- Keep in mind that you can get this work done for free till 14 December 2024.
