Weather Update: Monsoon has bid farewell to most of the states of the country including Delhi NCR. After this, once again the scorching sun has started bothering the people. In many places, the temperature has gone beyond 35 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the North East states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya today on Friday 4 October 2024. At the same time, heat will continue in UP, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan.
The maximum temperature in the capital Delhi
was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 3 October 2024. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies on Friday, 4 October 2024. The maximum temperature in the capital is likely to be 36.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 25 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, the weather in Delhi is going to remain the same till next week.
Monsoon has withdrawn from these states
According to the Meteorological Department, the withdrawal of monsoon from North India has already begun. According to IMD, monsoon has withdrawn from Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Delhi and the rest of West Rajasthan. In the next 5 days, monsoon will also withdraw from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West UP, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
It will rain in these states today
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in some states today on Friday 4 October 2024. Light to moderate rain is likely in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura of North East. Apart from this, there may be rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well. According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall may also occur in some parts of states like Bihar, Sikkim, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Telangana. At the same time, light rain is expected at some places in Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Jharkhand, Lakshadweep, Gujarat and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
