IMD Rainfall Alert! Yellow alert for heavy rains in 9 state, check weather condition in your city

Today, on October 1, 2024, the weather in Delhi is expected to remain hot. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the maximum temperature in Delhi today can reach 35.6 degrees Celsius.

But, during the day this temperature can go up to around 38 degrees Celsius, due to which people will have to face extreme heat and humidity. Currently, the humidity level in Delhi is 32% and the wind speed is 32 kilometers per hour. Because of this, people have to make proper preparations to get relief from the heat and take special care of how they plan to go out in this summer season.

Monsoon departure process

According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is now gradually moving towards departure. In the next 2-3 days, it is expected to completely depart from Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan. In the last 24 hours, South Karnataka received 15 cm, Vadodara (Gujarat) received 13 cm and other areas received light rain, which has brought a change in the weather.

Yellow alert for heavy rain

Meanwhile, today a trough line is forming around South Karnataka, South West Uttar Pradesh and North East Assam. Due to the effect of this trough, very heavy rains are expected in northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Along with this, rain warning has also been issued in South India, especially Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. People living in these areas have been advised to be alert for rain related preparations.
