IRCTC informed by tweeting that many times passengers cancel the train ticket after booking it. In such a situation, some money is deducted from the railway side and the rest is refunded. Many times it also happens that after the chart is prepared, many times the passenger has to cancel the ticket in emergency. In such a situation, perhaps the same question comes in your mind whether the ticket can be canceled after the chart is prepared. IRCTC has given information on this by tweeting.
TDR will have to be filled for refund
Refund is given on cancellation of untravelled ticket from the railway side. However, for its refund, you have to first fill the TDR. For this, first of all go to IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in . Here select the option of My Account. Here you will get the option of My Transaction in the drop down menu.
Here by selecting the option of File TDR, TDR has to be filled by selecting any one option. The information related to the passenger will be displayed on your screen. After this, by entering the PNR, train number captcha etc., click on the box of cancellation rules and click on submit.
Now OTP will come on your registered mobile. Verify your PNR details by entering OTP. After doing this process, select the option of Canceled Ticket. Now you will see the refund amount on the screen. The confirmation message will come on the given number while booking the ticket.
