There is good news for the government employees-pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. The latest update has come out regarding the payment of arrears of the new pay scale. According to media reports, arrears will be paid in installments to class IV employees and other employees.
A formula has been prepared for this, whose file has been sent by the Finance Department to CM House. After getting the green signal from this, in September, the amount of arrears will start being transferred in the account of the employees.
Recently, in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Jai Ram Thakur, it has been decided to give the first installment of arrears of the new pay scale to the employees in September. After preparing the formula, the Finance Department has sent its file to the Chief Minister’s Office. Under this, the full arrears of the new pay scale i.e.
one to two lakh rupees will be given to the fourth class employees. While the other categories will be given only a little arrears. Employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners will get the benefit.
It is believed that according to different levels of employees, it can be 10 to 18% of the total arrears. Under the revised pay scale, the Himachal Pradesh government can give the first installment of arrears of Rs 50 to 75 thousand to the third class personnel and 30 to 50 thousand rupees in the first installment to the first and second class officers. Arrears payment to pensioners will also be assessed.
The arrears to the employees and pensioners are to be paid from the year 2016. In this regard, the notification of arrears payment will be issued soon by the Finance Department.
