SoftBank-backed edtech startup Unacademy has laid off 250 employees in the latest layoff. Sources familiar with the matter have given this information. Media reports quoted sources as claiming that about 100 people have been removed from core functions like business development and marketing. The rest have been laid off from the sales department.

Unacademy has also received investments from Peak XV Partners and General Atlantis. According to media reports, the company has also confirmed the layoffs.
