How to Apply for Ayushman Bharat Golden Card? 

To obtain the cashless treatment facility under PMJAY, you need to obtain an Ayushman Golden card. Following are the steps to apply for an Ayushman Bharat Golden card:

  • Visit the official website of PMJAY
  • Go to the option of login to the website
  • Enter your ‘mobile number’ and the captcha code
  • Generate the OTP and enter it to log in to your website
  • Opt for HHD code and provide the code to the Common Service Centre (CSC). The CSC would check the HHD code as well as other details
  • The Ayushman Mitra or the CSC representatives will complete the remaining process
  • A fee of Rs 30 will have to be paid to obtain the Ayushman Golden card
  • Your Ayushman Bharat Golden card will be issued

Which diseases are treated for free under this scheme?

All old and new diseases can be treated for free through the Ayushman Golden Card issued under the Ayushman scheme. Apart from serious diseases like cancer, more than 1500 diseases are covered under it.

Benefits of Ayushman Yojana

Under this, if you are sick, you just have to show the Ayushman card at the time of admission to the hospital. After this, no paper or cash is required for the treatment expenses. That is, we can say that paperless and cashless treatment can be done under this scheme, that too for free.

This includes expenses like diagnostics and medicines for 3 days before hospitalization and 15 days after hospitalization.
