Ayushman Bharat Card Download: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India provides some free health services to eligible citizens. Under the PM Jan Arogya Yojana, the welfare scheme provides free treatment to cardholders and coverage up to ₹5 lakh from government funds.
To avail benefits under this scheme, citizens are required to apply for Ayushman Bharat Card, which can be done through an online portal. Once the application is filed on the portal, citizens will have to wait for approval. If you apply correctly, it will take only 24 hours for the Ayushman card to be approved.
Once the application proceeds, citizens are issued a health card and a receipt that will allow them to receive free treatment in empaneled hospitals, either public or private, in the country.
What to do to apply?
To fill the online application, users will need Aadhar Card, Residence Certificate, Income Certificate, Photograph and Category Certificate.
How to apply for Ayushman Bharat card –
After checking eligibility, go to pmjay.gov.in site to start the online application process,
-Within the website, click on ABHA-Registration button and use Aadhaar card to start the process.
-Enter the OTT sent on the phone to verify Aadhaar.
-Enter other information including name, income and PAN card.
-Wait till the application is approved, after which the Ayushman card can be downloaded.
-Once the application is approved, the citizen should again visit the website and ask for OTT to get the digital copy of their Ayushman Card. In such a case, Aadhar card number will have to be entered.
-Download and print the card to provide cashless treatment in hospitals.
Who is eligible?
Note the eligibility requirements to avail benefits under Ayushman Bharat.
-Annual income should be less than ₹ 2.5 lakh.
-Any family in which there is no other earning member above 16 years of age.
-Additionally, individuals who do not have permanent residence and meet the income criteria can also apply for the card.
