Dharmanagar to Agartala Vande Bharat: The work of electrification of the existing railway network from Dharmanagar to Agartala has already started. It is expected to be completed by June or July.
Dharmanagar to Agartala Vande Bharat: Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik on Saturday said that Tripura is going to get the medium distance superfast train Vande Bharat Express, in which the Northeast Frontier Railway is working on electrification of the tracks.
NFR has already started the work of electrification of the existing railway network from Dharmanagar to Agartala. It is expected to be completed by June or July.
“If Vande Bharat Express is extended to Agartala after electrification work, it will take only four to five hours to reach Guwahati from Agartala,” the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Social Empowerment said during an election rally in Dhanpur in Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency. Will be imposed.
Bhowmik said, ‘They (previous governments) took 44 years to bring trains from Dharmanagar (entry point into Tripura) to Churaibari, while PM Modi took only two years to bring broad gauge railway service to Agartala.’
How many Vande Bharats in the country?
With the recent addition of 10 new trains, the total number of Vande Bharat trains running across the country has reached 51, covering 45 routes. Notably, there are now two Vande Bharat trains on six routes, including Delhi-Katra, Delhi-Varanasi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mysuru-Chennai, Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram and the newly inaugurated Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad.
