GAIL India: After IGL and Mahanagar Gas, now GAIL India and its subsidiary GAIL Gas have also reduced the rates of CNG.
GAIL India: GAIL India Limited and its subsidiary GAIL Gas have announced reduction in CNG prices on Saturday. After this decision of GAIL India, the prices of CNG have reduced by about Rs 2.50.
The purpose of this reduction is to make CNG a good alternative for transport by making it available to more people. Besides, pollution can also be reduced by increasing the use of CNG. Earlier, IGL and Mahanagar Gas had also reduced the rates of CNG.
Rates will change in these cities
After this cut, CNG rates will now be Rs 81.17 per kg in Varanasi, Rs 84.54 in Patna, Rs 87.15 in Ranchi, Rs 87.08 in Jamshedpur, Rs 87.26 in Bhubaneswar and Rs 87.60 per kg in Cuttack.
Other companies have already reduced prices
The country’s auto industry is also promoting CNG vehicles. These include Maruti, Tata, Hyundai and Mahindra. GAIL Gas CEO Gautam Chakraborty said that this reduction will not only benefit the consumer but also the environment. Before this decision taken by GAIL, other City Gas Distribution companies have also decided to reduce the prices of CNG.
CNG price reduced by Rs 2.50
Among these, public sector Mahanagar Gas Limited had reduced the prices of CNG by Rs 2.50 on March 5. Now he is selling CNG at the rate of Rs 73.50 per kg. Apart from this, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) had also reduced the prices in Delhi-NCR by Rs 2.50. This has reduced the burden on people’s pockets.
Big relief to customers
On Tuesday, Mahanagar Gas Limited had announced to reduce the prices of CNG. MGL supplies CNG in Mumbai and its surrounding areas. After the reduction in the prices of natural gas, the costs of city gas companies were reduced. These companies have decided to pass on this benefit to their customers.
Earlier, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Puri had expressed his unhappiness over the city gas companies not passing on its benefits to the customers even after reducing the prices of natural gas.
