IMD Rainfall Alert : Snowfall on the mountains, rain alert in Delhi for three days, will the cold return with the change in weather?

Since the second week of February, the cold has almost ended in various states across the country. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that due to Western Disturbance, there may be rain in many states of North India including Delhi, due to which the maximum temperature may drop in the coming days. At the same time, it is snowing in Himachal Pradesh. Due to snow falling on the mountains, there is a possibility of cold winds once again blowing in North India.

Clouds will rain in Delhi
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be rain and thundershowers in Delhi between February 19 and February 21. After that, from 22nd February the weather will start clearing and the heat will start increasing. According to IMD, the minimum temperature in the country’s capital Delhi can remain between 8 to 11 degrees Celsius this entire week. At the same time, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 23 to 26 degrees Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance is moving along its axis as a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds at an average level of 5.8 km north of 30°N latitude and 51°E longitude. At the same time, an induced cyclonic circulation is located over central Pakistan and is 1.5 km above the average level.

How will the weather of the country be?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of some heavy rain and lightning along with widespread light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till February 22. There may be hailstorm activities at different places in Jammu division on 18th February, in Himachal Pradesh on 18th and 19th February and at different places in Uttarakhand between 18th to 21st February.

At the same time, widespread light to moderate rainfall is possible in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh between 19 to 21 February, and in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Northern Madhya Pradesh between 20 to 22 February. Light to moderate rainfall is possible at some places over North Rajasthan between 19 and 21 February. Apart from this, isolated hailstorm activities along with thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds are possible over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh between 19 and 20 February. There is a possibility of blowing winds.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh between 21 and 24 February. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Assam and Meghalaya during this period. Dense fog may occur in the morning in some areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha.
