To prevent fraud through Aadhaar number, the Unique Identification Authority of India has started a new system. Under this, e-KYC can be done to any institution without giving Aadhaar number. Customer has to submit only the specified file (XML) in zip format. The institute itself will complete the KYC process by reading this file.
File to be downloaded:
In this facility, the KYC details of the customer are entered in an XML file, which is digitally signed by the authority. This file can be read only through a special machine. In this way, e-KYC can be completed easily without revealing the Aadhaar number. The XML file has to be downloaded from the website of the authority in zip format.
