Ombre sarees for senior female cabin crew will be purple-to-burgundy, combined with purple blazers, junior female cabin crew will wear red-to-violet sarees with red blazers. The cockpit crew’s attire consists of a classic black double-breasted suit with a vista-inspired print. Manish Malhotra said that his aim was to design a dress that showcased the essence of India’s diverse culture and traditions while also looking modern and sophisticated.

The finished sarees can be alternatively worn with comfortable pants. The airline said in a press release that this step has been taken to give flexibility to female cabin crew to choose their preferred style.

Intricate Jharokha pattern and Vista (Air India’s new logo icon) will be seen in the uniform of the female cabin crew, along with this it is paired with ombre saree, blouse and blazer.

On December 12, Air India has unveiled the dress designed by Manish Malhotra for the cabin crew and pilots, which looks quite impressive. The airline’s female cabin crew will wear ombre sarees with a modern touch, while the men will wear bandhgalas. Malhotra has designed classic black suits to dress for the cockpit crew.
