IMD Rainfall Alert: Cold has started increasing in North India. The temperature has started decreasing gradually in many states including Delhi. However, heavy rains are still continuing in many parts including South India.

A Western Disturbance is going to affect Northwest and West India from November 25, due to which the weather pattern will change. Due to this, there will be rain in Central Maharashtra, North Konkan, Gujarat, Southwest Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan between 24 to 27 November (for four days).

At the same time, light rain can also be recorded in the western Himalayan region and the plains of the northwest on 27 and 28 November. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rain in South India for the next three days. During the last 24 hours, heavy rains were recorded in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe on 22 to 24 November, South Interior Karnataka on 23 and 24 November.

Delhi: AQI reaches ‘very poor’ category

The air quality condition in Delhi remained poor on Wednesday morning with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded in the ‘very poor’ category. The city’s AQI was 394 at 9.05 am on Wednesday, while it was 365 a day earlier on Tuesday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.6 degrees Celsius, one degree below the season’s normal, while the relative humidity was recorded at 76 percent at 8.30 am.

After slight improvement on Sunday, a huge increase in AQI is being recorded in Delhi. The city’s AQI was 348 at 5 pm on Monday, while it was recorded at 301 on Sunday. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, 401 and Between 450 is considered ‘serious’ and above 450 is considered ‘extremely serious’.
