On the basis of this, they were stopped from boarding flights at Terminal-3 of the airport. According to media reports, Grover was going to New York with his wife, but he was stopped at the airport during the security checkup.

Joint Commissioner of Police (EOW), Sindhu Pillai, said, “He was asked to return to his Delhi residence and join the investigation at the EOW office at Mandir Marg next week.”

Look Out Circulars are used by officials at airports to check whether a person traveling is wanted by law agencies or not. A person against whom a Look Out Circular is issued cannot travel out of the country. Due to this, the Grover couple were stopped at the airport.

Actually, EOW has registered some FIRs against the Grover couple. In these, Ashneer Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain and some other family members are accused of embezzlement and embezzlement of money and causing a loss of Rs 81 crore to Resilient Innovations Private Limited, the company that operates BharatPe.

What is the whole matter?

BharatPe had filed a complaint with the Economic Offenses Wing last year in connection with 17 irregularities, which included allegations of embezzlement, embezzlement and fraud. If Grover is found guilty, he could be sentenced to 10 years in prison. According to the case registered by BharatPe, Grover’s wife Madhuri Jain allowed payments of Rs 7.6 crore to 8 vendors who had not helped in the recruitment of any employee in the company.

The company claims that Jain and his family members not only promoted such fraudulent transactions, but these 8 vendors also had close relations with the Jain family. The fintech unicorn company has also filed a civil suit against Ashneer Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain and other family members, demanding compensation of Rs 88 crore for the alleged misappropriation of funds.

It is noteworthy that after these controversies, Grover had resigned from the post of MD of the company, while his wife Madhuri Jain was removed from the company in the case of misappropriation of funds.
