Employees DA Hike: The dearness allowance of employees has been increased by the Central Government. Along with this, orders to increase DA have also been issued by more than a dozen state governments. Now amidst the assembly elections, the CM of the state has given instructions to the officials on DA.
A big announcement has been made by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He said that the government employees of Chhattisgarh will be given normal dearness allowance of the Centre. For this, officials have been instructed to obtain permission from the Election Commission.
In such a situation, the Chhattisgarh government is seeking permission from the Election Commission to give dearness allowance to its employees at par with the Centre. Earlier, the Rajasthan government had also prepared a proposal during the assembly elections and sent it to the Election Commission. After getting the permission, the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners of Rajasthan was increased. Now Chhattisgarh government has also sought permission.
With the permission from the Election Commission, dearness allowance and dearness relief of employees and pensioners will be increased by four percent. With which his DA will increase to 46%. At present, the employees of Chhattisgarh receiving the seventh pay scale are being given the benefit of dearness allowance at the rate of 42%. The benefit of dearness allowance is provided to the employees on their basic salary.
Earlier this year, the dearness allowance of employees was increased twice by the Chhattisgarh government. Once the dearness allowance was increased by 5% and second time by 4%. An increase in dearness allowance for pensioners was announced in September. Along with this, dearness allowance of employees and officers was increased by 4%. Now once again with the increase in DA, more than 7 lakh employees will get big benefits. With the increase in dearness allowance, the salary of the employees will see an increase of more than Rs 20,000 annually.
