The Central Government has started the sale of Bharat Atta with the aim of providing flour to the people across the country at affordable rates. Bharat Atta will be sold by the Center at the rate of Rs 27.50 per kg. The Modi government is selling flour at cheaper rates at a time when the price of wheat flour has seen a rise in the last few months.
Piyush Goyal flags off 100 mobile vans
Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal flagged off 100 mobile vans for the sale of Bharat Atta. Subsidized wheat flour will be sold in different cities of the country through these mobile vans.
Bharat Atta will be available at these places also
Bharat Atta can easily reach the citizens of the country. For this, Bharat Atta will be distributed through mobile outlets of Kendriya Bhandar, cooperative and retail outlets of NAFED and NCCF.
Gave 2.5 lakh metric wheat
In order to provide subsidized flour, about 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been given to various government agencies of the country like Kendriya Bhandar, NCCF and NAFED at the rate of Rs 21.50 per kg.

Pulses will be available at Rs 60 per kg
The government will sell not only flour but also pulses on subsidy. Piyush Goyal said during the program that the Central Government has been continuously making efforts to reduce the prices of essential commodities. The government has taken several steps to reduce the price of onion and tomato. The central government will also provide Bharat Dal at the rate of Rs 60 per kg.
