On the occasion of Dussehra, Dussehra holidays are being announced in schools of all the states including UP and Bihar. Holidays have also been declared in schools by the Telangana government.
According to the Hindu calendar, Dussehra is celebrated on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. This time Dussehra will be celebrated on 24th October. Dashami Tithi will start from 5:44 pm on 23rd October. In some schools, your today is given from Panchami Tithi. The festival of Dussehra will be celebrated on 24 October.
On this day, holidays have been declared in all government and private institutions. There will be holiday in schools from nursery to 12th. Holidays have been declared in schools of states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Ghaziabad and Telangana etc.
Schools will be closed from October 13 to October 25
As per the order issued by the Telangana government, schools will remain closed from October 13 to October 25. Students from 1st to 12th will get its benefit. They will get the benefit of 12 days leave. First term vacation of Junior College has been announced from October 19 to October 25. In such a situation, schools and junior colleges will be operated from October 26.
All junior colleges have been instructed by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education to follow the holiday schedule. Instructions have been given not to conduct classes during holidays. District intermediate education officers have been asked to ensure that colleges follow these orders.
UP: 3 to 4 days holiday in Dussehra
In schools of Uttar Pradesh, there is a holiday 2 to 3 days before Dussehra. According to media reports, this time holidays can be declared in government and private schools and educational institutions of Uttar Pradesh from October 21 to October 24. At present, no notification has been issued for this by Uttar Pradesh Secondary District Council. However, Dussehra is considered a holiday of 3 to 4 days.
Dussehra will also be celebrated in Delhi on 24th October. According to sources close to CBSE, 2 to 3 days holidays can be given in schools on Dussehra. At present no official confirmation has been made. Holidays can be declared in Delhi schools from 22 to 24 October.
There will be a holiday of two to three days in Noida and Ghaziabad also. Its orders will be issued soon by the district administration. With this, students will get full benefit of holidays this month. Apart from Dussehra holidays, there will be weekly holiday in the school on five Sundays. Apart from this, Saturdays are also declared holidays in many schools.
