How to know your UAN number
If you are working in a company and you have information about your UAN number, then you can ask the HR of that company for the UN number. Apart from this, you can find out through the UAN portal of EPFO. You have to give your UAN with the new company while changing jobs, so that your previous balance can be transferred to the new account.Â
How to Activate UAN
- First of all go to the official website of EPFO.
- Click on For Employee in the Services menu.
- Click on the Member UAN/Online Service option, after that a page will open.
- Then click on Activate Universal Account Number (UAN) option.Â
- After that fill all the details carefully and click on Get Authorization Pin
- After this a One Time Password (OTP) will come on the registered mobile number.
- After filling the OTP, you have to verify the details. After that click on Agree. Then UAN has to be activated.
- It takes six hours to activate the UAN number. Once the UN number is activated, you can do all the work related to PF.
