As soon as the beginning of May, the planning of the children for the summer holidays has intensified, some go to their maternal grandparents’ house, some go to the grandparents’ house, while many children go out for a holiday with their parents.
But in the meantime there are many children who will use this time for their skill development and will be involved in other curricular activities. Everyone has their own different plans. So let’s know in which state for how many days the students will get summer vacations.
Himachal Pradesh
According to the notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Education, the rainy holidays are being given. Talking about summer vacations, 52 days summer vacations are being given to the children in the schools of Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, students will be given 38 days of rainy season holidays from June 22 to July 29. Let us inform that the holidays of summer school and winter school are announced separately in Himachal.
Delhi
Summer vacation has not been announced in Delhi yet. But it is believed that this time 50 days summer vacation will be given in schools. Will be updated here when the information is received officially.
Uttarakhand
In view of the constantly changing weather, the summer vacation in Uttarakhand will be 45 days, but it will start from June 1 like last year or from May its information has not yet been released by the government.
Haryana
According to the information received from the sources, the summer vacation in Haryana will be only for 30 days, which will start from June 1 and the children will get holidays till June 30. Apart from this, let us tell that according to the calendar of Haryana Education Department, summer vacations will start from June 1.
Uttar Pradesh
This time summer vacations in schools of Uttar Pradesh will start from 20 May to 15 June 2023. The holidays will be only for 26 days. According to earlier information, the summer vacations in Uttar Pradesh were to begin from May 21. But the dates were changed by the Education Department. Earlier the holidays were to be of a total of 30 days, which will now be of only 26 days. Holiday has been declared for all affiliated and recognized schools of the board in other cities and towns of UP including Noida, Lucknow.
Jharkhand
This year, Jharkhand state schools will have only 24 days of summer vacations, starting from May 21 and ending on June 10. After this, the new academic session will also be started from June 12.
Summer vacations have been announced in all the schools of Madhya Pradesh. Summer vacation has started in Madhya Pradesh, the vacation is from May 1 to June 15, after which the schools will reopen from June 16. On the other hand, this holiday for teachers will remain till May 9 only.
Andhra Pradesh
The Andhra Pradesh government has also announced the summer vacations of the schools, according to which the schools have been closed from May 1, which will remain closed till May 11. Schools will be opened again on 12th May.
West Bengal
Information has come out that the summer vacation in West Bengal will start from May 2, but officially no information has been issued by the government on this.
Maharashtra
In view of the continuous rising heat, the Maharashtra government had closed the schools on April 21 and according to the information received from the school education department, except Vidarbha schools, the rest of the schools will resume from June 15 and Vidarbha schools from June 30.
Odisha
School holidays in Odisha will start from May 5, which will continue till June 18. After that the schools will reopen.
Tamil Nadu
Summer vacations for schools falling under the Tamil Nadu State Board have started from April 29. In which the school for the students of 1st to 5th will re-open from 5th June, while for the students of 6th to 12th the school will start again from 1st June.
Kerala
The 60-day summer vacation in schools in Kerala is going on from April 2. After the completion of the holidays, the new academic session will start from June 1.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan
The summer vacations in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan located in India have started from May 7 and will continue till June 15. In KVS students have got 30 days holidays. Schools will be reopened after the holidays.
