7th Pay Commission Latest News: From July 1, 2023, new dearness allowance will be applicable for central government employees. It is expected that the DA will be increased by 4 percent from the government side.

But before this, the news has come to please the government employees of Gujarat. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has announced an increase in DA / DR by 8 percent for state government employees and pensioners under the Seventh Pay Commission.

9.50 lakh employees and pensioners benefited

In the order issued by the government, it was said that about 9.50 lakh employees and pensioners of the state government have been covered under the 7th Pay Commission. These employees will benefit from the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief. The 8 percent increase in DA by the government will be implemented in two parts. The first four percent DA will be effective from July 1, 2022. While the remaining 4 percent increase in DA will be applicable from January 1, 2023. The increase in DA has been done as per the rules of the Central Government.

Arrears will be paid in three installments

The previous arrears will be released by the government in three installments. The first installment of arrears will be given along with the salary for the month of June. Similarly, the second and third installments will be given with the salary of October 2023.

It was told by the government that increasing the DA would put an additional burden of Rs 4,516 crore on the exchequer. Earlier, the Gujarat government had announced three percent DA in August, 2022. It was implemented from 1 January 2022.

Let us tell you that at present 42 percent DA is being paid to the employees by the Central Government. The next DA will be announced by the Center from July 1. This time DA is expected to be increased by 4 percent. In this way, the DA of central employees is expected to increase to 46 percent.
