According to the Meteorological Department, a fresh western disturbance is going to be active from Monday. Due to this, there are chances of rain in most parts of Himachal Pradesh.
Hail may also occur in some areas. The Meteorological Department says that the weather will be bad in the state for five days from Tuesday. During this, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for strong thunderstorms in the state.
Meteorologists say that the weather will be bad in the state from May 23 to 27. Heavy rains will be recorded in most parts of the state on May 24 and 25. On the other hand, according to the report of Skymet Weather, the weather forecasting agency, the intensity of rain will increase in the western Himalayas from May 24.
There is also a possibility of light snowfall in the higher reaches of the state. During this, there is a forecast of high speed winds. Due to this, the temperature will drop, due to which the people of the state are expected to get relief from the scorching heat. Thunderstorm alert has also been issued in some areas.
According to the report of news agency PTI, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and rain at different places in ten districts of Himachal Pradesh on May 23 and 24. A ‘yellow’ alert has also been issued for strong thunderstorms and lightning at different places in the state on May 25 and 26.
In the warning issued by the Shimla Meteorological Center, it has been said that from May 23, an active Western Disturbance is moving towards the Western Himalayan region. Due to this, there will be widespread rains in the state for three to four days.
