However, it is expected to be announced by September. The dearness allowance of government employees is increased every six months. Due to increase in DA in proportion to inflation, there is a good increase in salary. The salary of the employees increases on the basis of fitment factor, appraisal. Salary will automatically increase as the fitment factor increases. The news is that there is going to be a tremendous increase in the basic salary of the employees without fitment factor and appraisal.

Salary will increase due to merger in DA Basic

The 7th Pay Commission was implemented by the government in 2016. At that time dearness allowance was made zero. Due to zero DA, the previous dearness allowance of the employees was added to the basic salary. Now this situation is going to happen once again. With this, the minimum basic salary of the employees will increase from Rs 18000 to Rs 27000. The basic will increase due to the merger of the dearness allowance with the basic salary.

Long wait for salary revision

It is written in the memorandum of the year 2016 that it will be reduced to zero when the dearness allowance (DA) is 50 percent. That is, the dearness allowance that is being received now is 42 percent. After zero it will start from 1 percent, 2 percent. Actually, as soon as there is 50 percent dearness allowance (DA Hike), it will be added to the basic salary. Due to this, the employees do not have to wait long for salary revision.

By how much will the salary of the employees increase?

Presently, there is a basic salary of Rs.18000 in Pay Band Level-1. At present, dearness allowance of Rs 7560 is available on this. But, on 50 percent dearness allowance, this amount will increase to Rs.9000. The rule is that when there is 50 percent DA, it will be reduced to zero by mixing it with the basic salary. That is, the current basic salary of Rs 18000 will increase to Rs 27000. After this, the dearness allowance will be calculated on the basic salary of Rs.27000.

When will the basic salary increase?

At present, central employees are getting salary according to 42 percent dearness allowance. Based on the revision of July 2023, it will increase by 4 percent to 46 percent. After this, if dearness allowance increases by 4 percent even in January 2024, then it will become 50 percent. If it is 50%, the dearness allowance will become zero from January 2024 itself. That is, from July 2024, the employees will get the benefit of increased basic salary and on the basis of this they will also get DA.
