7th Pay Commission News: The state government has given a special gift to government employees and women. The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance for employees and pensioners.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given this special gift to all the employees of the state on the occasion of 76th Himachal Day on Saturday.

Since this increase, the dearness allowance of government employees has been increased from 31 per cent to 34 per cent, which has benefited about 2.15 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners. According to a statement issued by the government, this decision will put an extra burden of about Rs 500 crore on the state exchequer.

Women will get monthly allowance

Even after the dearness allowance hike, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also fulfilled a promise made in the Congress manifesto during last year’s assembly elections, to give a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 to all 9,000 women in Spiti above the age of 18. Has also announced, which will start from June 2023.

Apart from all these, the Himachal Pradesh government has also announced a 50-bed Community Health Center and a college in Kaza. At the same time, the state government will demand from the Ministry of Defense to develop an airstrip at Rangrik in Spiti Valley. Along with this observatory will also be established. Land has also been identified for setting up Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School near Kaza.

DA was increased by the central government

Let us tell you that this increase from the Himachal Pradesh government has come after the increase in DA from the center and some state governments. The central government is giving 42 percent dearness allowance to its employees and pensioners. Recently, the government had increased the DA of central employees by 4 percent.
