Vande Bharat Express: Vande Bharat train will now run on the railway tracks of Rajasthan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train on Wednesday.
The PMO gave this information today i.e. on Monday. According to the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train through video conferencing. The regular service of this train will start from 13th April, 2023 and it will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt. This train will also stop at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon.
Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance from Ajmer to Delhi Cantt in 5 hours 15 minutes. Let us tell you that the fastest train on this route is Shatabdi Express which travels between Delhi Cantt to Ajmer in 6 hours 15 minutes. Thus Vande Bharat Express will be 60 minutes i.e. one hour faster than the fastest train running on that route. PMO said that this train will improve connectivity with major tourist places of Rajasthan including Pushkar, Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
Significantly, earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also flagged off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express. The train is expected to reduce travel time between the capital of Tamil Nadu and the western industrial city by more than an hour. In a program at Dr. MGR Chennai Central Railway Station, Prime Minister Modi flagged off the train.
