Toll tax rates have been increased in many states of the country. Haryana is also included in these. In Haryana, the new toll rates imposed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will be applicable on toll plazas from 1st April i.e.
12 midnight tonight. Toll tax has been increased from Rs 5 to Rs 20. The roads on which toll tax has been increased include the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway (KMP Expressway). The special thing is that the toll rate for private vehicles has not been increased at the toll plaza located at Kherki Daula of Gurugram on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. However, commercial vehicles will have to pay 5 percent more toll at this toll plaza.
The journey will become costlier due to increase in toll tax. Not only private vehicle drivers, but people traveling in roadways buses will also bear the burden of increased toll. On increasing the toll rate, Haryana Roadways will also increase the fare.
Toll tax has been increased by 7 percent on the KMP Expressway built from Kundli in Haryana to Palwal via Manesar. Toll tax has to be paid per kilometer on KMP Expressway. Vans, cars and jeeps on the expressway will have to pay Rs 1.73 per kilometer instead of Rs 1.61 per kilometer from April 1.
More money will have to be paid at these toll plazas also
Toll tax has been increased by 5 percent at Makdoli toll plaza on Rohtak-Panipat highway and Madina toll plaza at Lakhanmajra. Similarly, at the toll plaza near Dighal on the Rewari-Rohtak highway, now the drivers will have to pay Rs 5 to Rs 25 more. At the Ganga Isha Jat toll plaza on the Rewari-Rohtak highway itself, vehicle drivers will have to pay Rs 5 to 15 more from April 1. Toll tax has been increased by 5 percent at Khatak and Ludana toll plazas in Jind district. Payot toll on National Highway 709A in Karnal has also increased by 12 percent.
