In the coming time, the idea is going on for 100 aluminum Vande Bharat trains. This plan will prove to be a game changer for the Railways. Recently the technical bid was submitted for the Rs 30,000 crore project.

Sudhanshu Mani, recognized as the innovator of Vande Bharat Express trains, also said that the speed of these trains will be more than the currently running Vande Bharat . The aluminum train can cover the distance at a speed of 200 kmph. Let us tell you that the aluminum train will be less in weight than the existing train, due to which its speed will automatically increase.

Sleeper coaches will be in aluminum trains

Two major companies manufacturing railway equipment have submitted bids for making aluminum train sets on partnership basis. Sources claim that aluminum trains will be sleeper. For the first time the Vande Bharat train was run on the route from Delhi to Varanasi in 2019. After this, 100 more Vande Bharat trains have been operated on different routes.

After this, Vande Bharat-2.0 was introduced in 2022 on the railway side. Its speed is more than the old Vande Bharat. These trains are capable of running on the track at a speed of 160 kmph. But now in the coming years, aluminum Vande Bharat trains will have sleeper coaches and they will be able to travel at a speed of 200 km per hour. In terms of quality, it will be better than the Rajdhani train.
