AIBEA General Secretary CH Venkatachalam said that the strike has been announced to resume the bank employees’ movement. He told that there are 5 demands of bank employees – banking, pension should be updated, many old issues, NPS should be abolished, salary should be revised and recruitment should be done in all cadres.Banks will remain closed on these dates

  • January 28 is the fourth Saturday, so the bank will remain closed.
  • 29 January is a weekly holiday on Sunday.
  • The bank will remain closed on 30 and 31 January due to the bank employees’ strike.

What are the five demands of bank employees

  • Banking work should be done in five days.
  • Pension should be updated.
  • NPS should be abolished.
  • There should also be talks for an increase in salary.
  • The recruitment process in all cadres should be started at the earliest.
