Central government employees till now get a minimum basic salary of Rs 18,000. With the advent of the Eighth Pay Commission, the minimum basic salary of employees may increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 51,480. The government has approved the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. With the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the fitment factor used in calculating salary will increase. If this happens, the salary will automatically increase. It is estimated that the government may increase the minimum salary and pension by 186 percent.

Currently, the minimum basic pay is Rs 18,000…

Employees currently get a minimum basic pay of Rs 18,000 under the 7th Pay Commission. There was an increase of ₹ 7,000 from the 6th Pay Commission to the 7th Pay Commission. Now, from the 7th Pay Commission to the 8th Pay Commission, the minimum basic pay of Rs 18,000 can be increased to Rs 51,480 after a fitment factor of 2.86. This will benefit 1 crore employees and pensioners.

Pension of pensioners will increase by 186%…

Pension is also possible to increase by 186%, which can increase from Rs 9,000 to Rs 25,740. The recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission were implemented from 2016. Major changes were made in salaries, pensions and allowances. Now with the advent of the Eighth Pay Commission, the money of both employees and pensioners will increase.
