New Delhi: Central government employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the formation of the 8th Pay Commission by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After the 7th Pay Commission, people are now waiting for the 8th Pay Commission. If this commission is formed, there can be a big increase in the salary and pension of the employees. In such a situation, there will be an automatic increment in the salary due to increase in the fitment factor. (8th pay commission will be introduced soon) Currently, employees get a minimum basic salary of Rs 18,000 under the 7th Pay Commission. There was an increase of Rs 7,000 from the 6th to the 7th Pay Commission.

Now, after the fitment factor of 2.86 in the 7th to 8th pay commission, the minimum basic salary can increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 51,480. (8th pay commission will be introduced soon) After the 8th pay commission is formed, this commission will present recommendations for salary and pension adjustment in accordance with the current economic scenario of the country.

The commission is not only focusing on pay and pension adjustments but also on revising dearness allowance (DA) and other allowances. Dearness allowance, which is required to mitigate the effects of inflation, is usually reviewed every two years. (8th pay commission will introduce soon) Along with the changes in the basic pay, DA and other allowances are also expected to be revised upwards, further increasing the compensation package of central government employees and pensioners.
