But it is expected that the government can make an announcement on this in the first week of September. However, there has not been any official statement from the government on this. Recently, Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary has made it clear in the Lok Sabha that at present the Eighth Pay Commission will not come.

Dearness Allowance of employees was increased in March

Under the 7th Pay Commission, the dearness allowance of central employees was last increased by 3 percent in March 2022. At that time it was increased from 31 to 34 percent. At that time, the increase in DA was implemented from January 1 and the employees were given salary with two months arrears. According to the rules, DA should be increased every six months. According to this, the DA hike of the employees is due from July 1.

What will be the increase in DA?

The government uses the data of the AICPI-IW (All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial Worker) index for how much the Dearness Allowance of the employees will increase. The figures for the first half of AICPI-IW have been released. The index has reached 129.2 in June. The increase in DA is sure to increase by 4 percent due to the rise in the index.

When will the money of 38% DA come?

After increasing the dearness allowance by 4 percent, the dearness allowance of central employees will increase to 38%. If it is announced in the beginning of September, then the increased dearness allowance will be paid in the salary of September 2022. In such a situation, the arrears of July and August will also be included in this. Let us see how much will the minimum and maximum basic salary increase with 4 percent DA?

Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of employee Rs 56,900
2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 21,622/month
