7th Pay Commission: Central employees can get good news soon. The salary of government employees can increase by a maximum of Rs 90,000. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the government has to increase DA twice a year.
If we look at the record of previous years, the government increases DA in March and July. According to media reports, about 1 crore central employees and pensioners will be benefited after the Union Budget 2023 .
DA will be increased by 3 percent
If media reports are to be believed, the central government may soon increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) received by central employees in March. This time it is expected that the government can increase the dearness allowance by 3 percent. This increase will be considered applicable from January 1, 2023.
Currently getting 38% DA
Currently, government employees get DA at the rate of 38 percent. If the government increases DA by 3 percent, then the DA of the employees will increase to 41 percent. That is, you will get 41% DA of your basic salary. These new rates will be considered applicable from January 2023.
How and how much salary will increase
The increase in DA is decided on the basis of AICPI figures related to inflation. Now a 3 percent increase in DA is almost certain. If seen on this basis, then central officers working at the level of cabinet secretary, whose salary is Rs 2.50 lakh, will see an increase of Rs 7,500 in their salary.
This increase will be of one month and in the next one year, this increase will be Rs 90,000 annually. At the same time, there will be an increase of Rs 900 in the salary of employees earning Rs 30,000 a month. This increase will be Rs 10,800 annually. The government increases dearness allowance twice a year.
