DA hike in Odisha: After UP, Karnataka, Arunachal, now Odisha government has also increased the dearness allowance of employees. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given information about this. The state government has increased the dearness allowance of employees by 4 percent.
7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Central government as well as state government employees are getting many special gifts before Holi. After UP, Karnataka, Arunachal, now Odisha government has also increased the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of the employees. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given information about this.
The state government has increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 4 percent, after which there is going to be a bumper increase in the salary of the employees.
Now dearness allowance for employees in the state of Odisha has increased from 46 percent to 50 percent. This dearness allowance will come into effect from January 1, 2024. This step of the state government will benefit 4.5 lakh state employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.
You may get increased salary in March
It is believed that the state government employees may get the increased salary by the end of March. Along with this, 2 months money will come in the form of arrears. The state government has increased DA by 4 percent for the fourth consecutive time.
Many states have already increased DA
Due to the increased dearness allowance by the state government, the burden on the government exchequer will increase by Rs 12,868.72. Earlier, many states including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have announced increase in DA.
Lakhs of employees are getting benefits in UP also
Before this, along with the Central Government, the UP Government has also announced to increase the dearness allowance. In UP also, dearness allowance of government employees has been increased by 4 percent, after which DA in the state has increased to 50 percent. After the decision of CM Yogi Adityanath, about 28 lakh employees and pensioners of the state will get the benefit of 4 percent increased DA.
