Actually, the central government employees have been waiting for some big decisions from the center for many months and there is a possibility that they may get 3 gifts related to salary increase from the center in the coming new year. This includes increase in DA, fitment factor and payment of outstanding DA. According to reports, government employees can get their gift from the government in the new year.

Decision on outstanding DA of 18 months The DA of the last 18 months from January 2020 to June 2021 is still pending. According to media reports, if the DA is calculated for 18 months, then it can reach from thousands of rupees to lakhs of rupees. In such a situation, the employees are hopeful that a decision can be taken on the outstanding DA of 18 months in the coming year.

Increase in fitment factor

A decision to increase the fitment factor can be taken after next year’s Union Budget through the Central Government. If the fitment factor is increased, then there will be a significant increase in the salary of the employees. Government employees are hopeful that a decision on the fitment factor can be taken soon through the government.

Next DA Hike

If reports are to be believed then in view of the high inflation rate for government employees, DA can be increased by 3 to 5 percent in the new year. Recently, the Union Cabinet had approved 4 percent Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for government employees and pensioners payable from 01.07.2022.
