7th Pay Commission: If you are a central government employee then this news is for you. Actually, the government has given a clarification regarding the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).Under this, the empaneled hospitals under CGHS cannot prepare two separate bills at the same time for the claim of treatment.

According to the government, any violation of these guidelines will be viewed seriously. It is possible that suitable action will be taken as per terms and conditions apart from removing the hospital from CGHS panel.

According to the Ministry of Health, the empaneled hospitals cannot ask the beneficiary or his family to buy medicines / various items / equipment or accessories separately from outside. Apart from this, it was also asked to provide treatment within the package rate fixed by CGHS. The allocation of wards in empaneled hospitals under CGHS is done as per the 7th Pay Commission basic pay level of the Central Government employees concerned.

Card is necessary:

Central government employees must have CGHS card to avail this facility. This card can be obtained by visiting the official website of CGHS, filling the form and submitting the requested documents.
