According to media reports say that the Modi government can give a big gift to its employees and pensioners on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Let us tell you, the central government announces to increase DA every 6 months, which is increased to provide relief to pensioners against inflation. It is believed that it can be approved in the cabinet meeting to be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 September.

Dearness allowance may reach 38 percent

Sources say that in view of the high rate of retail inflation, the government can increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent this time. After this, the DA will increase to 38 percent. Earlier in March 2022, the government had announced to increase DA, then it was increased by 3 percent. After this DA was increased from 31 per cent to 34 per cent. This time due to higher inflation rate, DA may increase even more.

When will the employees get this benefit

If the government announces to increase DA in September, then it is possible that this amount may be increased in the salary coming in October, while the remaining month will be paid as arrears. 47 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will get its benefit. The DA of the employees is increased according to their pay scale. Higher the basic pay, higher will be the dearness allowance.

how much will the salary increase

Suppose the basic salary of an employee is 40 thousand rupees, then he gets 34% of it i.e. 13,600 rupees as dearness allowance. If dearness allowance increases to 38 per cent, then its total amount will also increase to Rs 15,200. In this way the salary will increase by Rs 1,600 every month and Rs 19,200 more will be available in the year.
