7th Pay Commission: Good days are about to come for about 50 lakh central employees of the country. Because after the general consensus regarding fitment factor in the interim budget, the government can announce increase in salary.
Sources claim that this time the basic salary will increase to Rs 26000. Its draft has been prepared. It will be announced in the budget. However, no such announcement has been made officially yet. If this happens then approximately Rs 8000 more salary will be transferred to the account of each employee.
There is full hope of increase in basic salary
Actually, there has been no consensus regarding the fitment factor for many years. Due to which the decision to increase basic salary is continuously getting delayed. Sources claim that the Finance Minister will present the interim budget on February 1, in which the fitment factor may be announced. Let us tell you that at present the salary of about 50 lakh central employees of the country is calculated at the rate of 2.57 percent. That means, if someone’s grade pay is Rs 4200, then his basic salary will be Rs 15,500. After that various types of allowances are added.

Demand for so much fitment factor
Let us tell you that the employee association is demanding increase in fitment factor in the long run. That means there is a demand that the fitment factor should be increased to 3.68. If this happens then the basic salary will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. After this, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of central employees. Sources believe that this is an election year.
Only one month is left for the presentation of the interim budget. In which an announcement can be made regarding fitment factor. However, no such information has been received officially yet. But the concerned officials claim that the basic salary of Rs 26000 is to be announced in this budget. Its complete file is ready. Only the announcement is yet to be made.
