7th Pay Commission: Now the Government of Maharashtra has given a gift to the government employees. Maharashtra government has increased dearness allowance by 3 percent. On August 16, a statement has come from the Chief Minister’s Office in which it has been said to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3 percent.
According to the cabinet meeting, the decision to increase the DA was taken during the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The new DA will be deemed to be applicable from August. According to the statement of the CMO, the dearness allowance has been reduced to 34 percent of the basic pay.
Chhattisgarh government increased DA
The Chhattisgarh government has increased the Dearness Allowance. The state government has increased the dearness allowance of government employees by 6%. The decision of the government will benefit 3.8 lakh government employees of Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh government today said that the DA of the state government employees has increased to 28% due to the increase of 6% in the DA.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on its official Twitter handle said that the state government employees were getting 22% DA under the Seventh Pay Commission and 174% under the Sixth Pay Commission since May 2022. After the revision, there has been an increase of 6% and 15% under the 7th and 6th pay commissions, respectively, the statement said. Employees will get 28% and 189% DA from August 1, 2022. This hike by the government will increase the additional burden of Rs 2,160 crore annually on the exchequer.
Gujarat government increased DA
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday announced a 3% hike in DA for state government employees under the Seventh Pay Commission. In Gujarat, this increase will be considered effective from January 1, 2022. The increase in dearness allowance will benefit about 9.38 lakh employees of the state government, panchayat services and pensioners. With this increase, the financial burden of the state government will increase by about Rs 1,400 crore annually.
