In the last week of September, the central government had given great news to about 62 lakh employees and pensioners. The Modi government had increased the dearness allowance of employees from 34 percent to 38 percent. After that the Jharkhand government had announced to increase the DA. Now the Bihar government has given a big gift to the employees and pensioners before Diwali. The dearness allowance of employees and pensioners has been increased by 4 percent by the state government.

A total of 21 proposals were approved

in the meeting, the proposal related to this was approved in the meeting of the Bihar government’s cabinet held on Thursday. A total of 21 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Giving information to the journalists after the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat Department, S Siddhartha said that in the cabinet meeting, the proposal to increase dearness allowance by 4 percent for government employees and family pensioners was approved.

After the proposal to increase dearness allowance to the allocation of 500 crores,
now the employees of Bihar government will get 38 percent dearness allowance instead of 34. The increased Dearness Allowance will be valid from July 1, 2022. He said that the cabinet meeting approved the allocation of 500 crores from the emergency fund for the drought-prone areas. Apart from this, while declaring 7841 villages in 96 blocks of 11 districts of the state as drought-hit, it has also been approved to give Rs. 3500 per family assistance to the affected families.

In the meeting, approval was given to create 905 additional non-gazetted posts of various departments of the lower service in the Prohibition Department. Apart from this, the creation of many posts including 1420 for teachers, non-teaching staff in various universities has also been approved. In the meeting, approval has been given to extend the contract period of total 3953 retired soldiers working in Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) for 2022-23. Apart from this, 137 additional clerical cadre posts have been approved in the Directorate of Probation, Bihar.
