7th Pay Commission: DA increased by 4 percent for government employees in these 2 states

7th Pay Commission: Sikkim Government and West Bengal Government have made a big announcement. Sikkim Government and West Bengal Government have given a big gift to their employees.

The government of both the states has announced a 4% increase in the DA of the employees. With this, the DA of West Bengal government employees has increased from 42 percent to 46 percent. This decision will be considered effective from April 1, 2024. A notification has been issued by the government in this regard.

DA increased by 4 percent in Sikkim too

The Sikkim government has increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent for its employees and pensioners from July 1, 2023. This decision was taken during the first cabinet meeting of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha government. That meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. Officials said that with the 4 percent increase, DA and DR have become 46 percent. The increase in DA will have an impact of Rs 174.6 crore on the state treasury in the current financial year.

At the beginning of the year, the central government had increased the DA.

The dearness allowance of central government employees was increased from 46 percent to 50 percent at the beginning of the year. Dearness relief for central government pensioners has also been increased by 4 percent to 50 percent. These revised rates have become effective from January 1, 2024.
