Along with the increase in dearness allowance, the salary of the employees will also increase. Actually, every year between July and September, the employees working under the central government wait for the DA increase. This increase in DA is in the salary of all the employees. Under the 7th Pay Commission, the salary and dearness allowance of the employees are increased twice a year.
When will the DA hike be announced?
According to media reports, based on the data of AICPI IW index from January to June 2024, it has been decided that the employees will get DA with an increase of 3% from July 2024. Which is after the increase of 1.5 points in the June AICPI index. According to the information, the government can increase the dearness allowance (DA) by 3%, after which it will become 53%. It has been included in the agenda of the cabinet meeting to be held on 25 September. In such a situation, the salary of an employee getting a monthly salary of Rs 50 thousand will increase by Rs 1500.

How much did DA increase in January?
Earlier in January, the central government had increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 4%, after which DA became 50% and this gave a lot of relief to the government employees. Let us tell you that the increase in DA / DR usually comes into effect from January 1 and July 1. However, it is announced later. In such a situation, central government employees and pensioners will be eligible for the arrears of the previous months. The DA hike to be implemented in the year 2023 was announced by the government on October 18. This announcement of the government will benefit crores of central employees and pensioners.
