7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Govt announced 3% hike in DA and DR for its regular employees and pensioners

7th Pay Commission DA Hike : The Arunachal Pradesh government has announced a 3% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for its regular employees and pensioners.

This hike will come into effect from July 1. This will provide financial benefits to 68,818 regular employees and pensioners of the state. After the new hike, DA and DR will increase from 50% to 53%. This decision is in line with the policy of the central government and aims to benefit state government employees, All India Service officers, and central government employees working on deputation in the state as well as pensioners and their families.

Apart from this, House Rent Allowance (HRA) has also been increased by 30%, 20%, and 10% for different categories of cities. This decision will result in a financial burden of about Rs 63.92 crore from July 2024 to March 2025. The Deputy Chief Minister described this move as a symbol of the government’s commitment towards the welfare of employees and pensioners.
