7th Pay Commission Latest News: Good news has come for the government employees of Uttarakhand on dearness allowance. The state government has given its approval to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners by 4%.
This decision of the government will benefit more than 3 lakh government employees and pensioners. Till now the employees of Uttarakhand government are getting 38% dearness allowance. But after 4% hike, now his DA has increased to 42%.
The annual dearness allowance will be a total of Rs 90,720.
In the statement given by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the DA hike, it was said that the DA hike has been approved for the state employees and pensioners. After the new change, now the total DA will be Rs 90,720 per annum on the basic pay of Rs 18,000. At present, on the basis of 38 percent DA, employees with a basic pay of Rs 18,000 get dearness allowance of Rs 6,840 every month.
Dearness Allowance increased to Rs 7,560
Now after an increase of 4 percent, the dearness allowance of the employees has increased to Rs 7,560. If the basic pay of the employee is Rs 18,000 per month, then according to this, 18000 x 42/100 i.e. Rs 7560 per month dearness allowance will be available. It is being told that the dearness allowance increased by the government will be implemented from January 1. That is, along with the increased salary, employees and pensioners will get arrears of 5 months.
Dearness allowance is increased twice a year
Let us tell you that on the basis of the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance of government employees is increased twice a year. On the basis of this, due DA of central employees from January was announced in March. The next dearness allowance of central employees is to be implemented from July 1. An announcement about this can be made by the government in September. This time also there is a possibility of 4 percent increase in dearness allowance. If this happens then DA will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent.
